This is a series of pictures of a rescue operation conducted by trained personell on a Southern Right whale that got entangled and was spotted between Dassen Island and Yzerfontein.

The bouy prevented the whale from diving normally and the rope caused a nasty rubbing injury.  It was removed and the whale was off.
